MRI is a powerful tool of medical imaging that
permits non-invasive evaluation of the brain, spine,
bones, joints, soft tissues, and internals organs
throughout the body.
This is accomplished by being placed in a strong
magnetic field. Antennas then emit radio waves
and advanced computers form detailed images of
the body part being examined. The images are
evaluated by a physician experienced im MRI
interpretation who makes a report that is sent to
your physician. You will hear the MRI machine
make a knocking noise throughout the exam, but
that is all. There is no discomfort involved. |
